An updated version of the classic romantic tale, Eligible follows Liz, a thirtysomething magazine writer living in NYC, and her sisters as they return to their childhood home in Cincinnati to help their ailing father. The family is in disarray, with their mother solely focused on marrying off her daughters. Enter Chip Bingley, a handsome new-in-town doctor who takes an interest in Jane, Liz's sister, and Fitzwilliam Darcy, Chip's friend and a neurosurgeon who reveals himself to be less than charming.
