Fair Shot

Rethinking Inequality and How We Earn

Chris Hughes

Explore a radical solution to income inequality with "Fair Shot." Written by Facebook co-founder Chris Hughes, this book argues that a guaranteed income for working people, paid for by the one percent, is the most powerful tool in combating poverty and stabilizing America's middle class. Hughes shares his personal story of growing up in a small town in North Carolina, attending an elite boarding school and eventually Harvard where he co-founded Facebook. Through his own experiences and the rise of Facebook, he came to understand the role luck and fortune play in today's economy. With a bold approach to fixing poverty, "Fair Shot" is a thought-provoking exploration of modern America's earning power and the need for a better solution to income inequality.

Began reading Chris Hughes’ book casually & got totally gripped. The autobiographical parts-growing up in small town US, the story of his parents, awkwardness with elite groups-are moving. It’s a success story with a hint of sadness. It is also about the unfairness of inequality.      source
