Poor Things

Alasdair Gray

[POSTMODERN TAKE ON FRANKENSTEIN] Poor Things by Alasdair Gray is a witty and satirical retelling of the classic novel Frankenstein. Instead of a traditional monster, Bella Baxter is brought back to life with the brain of an infant. Science, love, scandal, and the independence of women are all explored in this thought-provoking novel.
