Black Wave

In "Black Wave," Michelle-Tea tells the story of Michelle, a struggling writer living in San Francisco during gentrification, drug-addled mishaps and a slew of romantic failures. After an official announcement that the world will end in one year, Michelle moves to LA and decides to write a story about a failing writer facing the end of the world. The novel explores themes of destiny, addiction, and the boundary between memoir and fiction.
