Magical assistance is needed by a lord in danger who has inherited an earldom after years in exiled to China. But the magician Stephen Day has deep-seated reasons to hate the Earl's family. Forced to deal with supernatural threats, Stephen finds himself falling for Crane who is unlike any aristocrat he has ever met.
