I am not a great cricket fan. But I can’t think of a book I have read recently that i have enjoyed more than Not Just Cricket. Part memoir, part behind-the-scenes history this is a fascinating and insightful read. ⁦@pradeepmagazine⁩      fuente

Pavan C. Lall - 2020-12-22
Calificación de Goodreads
This book delves into the rapid rise and sudden fall of India's fourth-largest private bank, Yes Bank. Author Pavan C. Lall tells the story of the bank's founder, Rana Kapoor, who went from a junior employee at Bank of America to leading a bank worth billions. But as skeletons began to emerge from Yes Bank's closet, allegations of bribery, corruption, and reckless lending began to circulate. Ultimately, the bank ran out of money in March 2020, and customers were unable to access their own savings. Lall asks tough questions about the banking system, its regulators, and the business environment that led to this point of no return.

"The Great Unravelling" by Sanjay Jha is a thought-provoking analysis of the current state of India under the leadership of the Bharatiya Janata Party. From the disintegration of institutions to the failure of the Congress party to provide opposition, Jha examines the challenges facing India today. Despite the bleak picture, Jha remains hopeful for India's future and argues that the Congress party is central to its revival.

Most of the coverage that ⁦@JhaSanjay⁩’s The Great Unraveling has received has focussed solely on Sanjay’s criticisms of the Congress. But there is also an excellent dissection of the state of today’s India & the current regime. It’s a very good book. A must read!      fuente
