A Journey into the Science of Mind Over Body

Jo Marchant

Discover the fascinating new science behind the mind-body connection in this award-winning book. The author, Jo Marchant, explores how our thoughts, emotions, and beliefs can ease pain, heal wounds, and even slow the progression of diseases. Marchant introduces readers to physicians, patients, and researchers on the cutting edge of this new world of medicine. She explains how meditation can protect against depression and dementia, how social connections increase life expectancy, and how the mind's ability to heal has vast potential. With clarity and compassion, "Cure" points the way towards a system of medicine that treats us as human beings and not just as bodies.

A really great book discussing this is Jo Marchant's Cure. Highly recommended. I do think that placebo might have a profound influence on how a diet is experienced. If a diet is expected to be anti-inflammatory, I do wonder if it might in fact be anti-inflammatory.      source
