Les Animaux dénaturés

This book follows a team of scientists and a journalist as they search for the missing link in the evolution of man. Instead, they find a colony of living quadrupeds who bury their dead. While the scientists question the nature of these "tropis", a businessman sees them as a potential source of cheap labor. The only way to stop his plans is to prove the humanity of these animals. Amidst this satirical and humorous story lies a serious question about what it truly means to be human.
