In a world where Warcross is more than just a game, teenage hacker Emika Chen struggles to make a living as a bounty hunter. But when she accidentally glitches herself into the opening game of the international Warcross Championships, she catches the attention of the game's elusive creator, Hideo Tanaka. He offers her a job as a spy within the tournament to uncover a security problem.
