Ending Overcriminalization and Mass Incarceration

Hope from Civil Society

Anthony B. Bradley

"Ending Overcriminalization and Mass Incarceration" introduces the key issues surrounding mass incarceration and provides concrete solutions for reform. Author Anthony B. Bradley recognizes offenders as inherently dignified persons and addresses the systemic breakdown of criminal law procedure and broken communities. Using the principle of personalism, he explains how reform must start from the person up and covers what civic institutions need to do to prevent people from entering the criminal justice system and reduce recidivism.

Here's a great approach to one major social problem that escapes the ideologies of conservatism or progressivism. It's an academic book but highly recommended.      source
