It Doesn't Have to Be Crazy at Work book cover

It Doesn't Have to Be Crazy at Work

Jason Fried

This timely and practical manifesto rejects the prevailing notion that long hours and aggressive hustle are required to run a successful business. Instead, the authors build upon their bestselling book, Rework, to introduce a bold and iconoclastic strategy for creating the ideal company culture: "the calm company." With proof from their own experiences, Fried and Hansson argue that productivity is not about working more hours, but about wasting less time and reducing persistent stress. It's time to stop celebrating Crazy and start celebrating Calm. This book is a must-read for managers and executives in any industry or size of company.

Okay. I'm completely sold on this book. Even in just the first few chapters the book was already resonating with my pain points as a business owner and the craziness of the typical workday. Turns out it doesn't have to be crazy at work. Buy this book.      source
